Motherboard: ASRock Z77 Extreme6 CPU: i5 3750k 3.4GHz quad core RAM: Corsair Vengeance 32GB (4x8GB) 1600mhz Video: MSI HD Radeon 7950 3GB VRAM GDDR5 Total cost: $900 Other stuff I already had, like hard drives, peripherals, etc. Now I can render fractals at 20 megapixels!

So, last night, a machine me and my dad spent time and money into shorted out on me last night. I looked into the problem and possibly narrowed it down to the power supply. My dad is supposed to be coming over sometime today with a new power supply. I'm hoping nothing else got damaged; this is an expensive custom build. I have classes in two hours, so I'm hoping he arrives before then, so I can watch him fix my computer. He builds and fixes computers as a hobby, and he's been teaching me how to use a computer since I was around four or five years old. I've built and repaired computers several times in my life, and I think it's really fun.
